Basement Beautification
Before
Becca, a busy wife, mother of 2 little girls, and kindergarten teacher recently hired Re to turn her family basement into a space they want to spend time in. During the initial walk-thru, Becca stated "honestly, we never come down here. I hate it and you can do whatever you want to it."

Although built-ins are a perk to any home, cherry red ones don't create a welcoming space. Becca and her family prefer "modern - cozy farmhouse" decor and were overwhelmed with the thought of fixing up the basement to match the rest of the rooms. “I was so nervous to have someone come into our home and especially our messy ugly basement. Jill made me feel so comfortable and at ease right away, she walked in and complemented our decor and was so excited to start this project and make it exactly what we wanted it to be, a place we wanted to hang out in instead of a hidden room we couldn’t stand to look at. My daughters didn’t even like to use the bathroom in the basement because of how dark it was in there. We really wanted to create a space for entertaining and we didn’t know where to begin.
Hearing all of Jill’s ideas I felt like we had won the lottery. We didn’t need to spend a fortune or buy a ton of new furniture. Jill had so many ideas to reuse and re-purpose a lot of the things that we already had in our house.
Using her expertise she took the project and ran with it. Not only did she create a beautiful space for us to enjoy but she took an interest in our family, our kids, and even our dog, never making us feel insecure or in the way.
When I came down in the basement for the “big reveal," after only 5 days, I couldn’t believe it was my basement I was standing in and not a picture in a magazine. I have never felt such pride and excitement around any room in my house and with Ke$ha music blaring in the background, I envisioned many fun nights in our future in this beautiful basement.
